The Sustainable network for Independent Technical EXpertise of radioactive waste disposal - Interactions and Implementation (SITEX-II) is a European research and development (R&D) cooperation.

In addition to technical support organisations (TSOs), several nuclear authorities and civil society organisations (CSOs) have been participating. Thanks to CSOs, SITEX-II recognises the requirements of social impact and public involvement in radioactive waste R&D activities. Energiaklub have participated in the development of a European Strategic Research Agenda (RSA) for radioactive waste R&D, in the incorporation of safety culture in safety case reviews, and in the preparation of an innovative methodology (Pathways Evaluation Process, PEP) to strengthen social engagement.

The SITEX-II project is funded by the Horizon 2020 programme of the European Commission.
