What Lessons Did the OSS Online Training Offer?
The OSS (One-Stop-Shop) online training series implemented under the RenovAID project aimed to strengthen knowledge of building renovation advisory models in Kosovo and Albania, with a particular focus on addressing energy poverty and building policy-making capacity. The newly completed assessment summarises organisational, technical, and content-related experiences—offering key insights not only for future training programmes but also for the overall effectiveness of international capacity-building efforts.

From an organisational perspective, the biggest challenge was engaging the participants. While the civil partners were active, motivating the invited professional audience proved to be difficult. In the future, it is therefore advisable to involve local partners more deeply in programme design and facilitation roles so they can more effectively mobilise their own networks.
In terms of content, the greatest interest was shown in presentations that included practical examples—particularly the Amiestas presentation showcasing the OSS model. At the same time, presenters faced the challenge of receiving little feedback, making it difficult to adapt to the participants’ actual needs. The assessment highlights that more flexible programme design and preliminary mapping of participant interests could significantly improve the effectiveness of future trainings.
