Description: The National Climate Change Strategy is part of the 2006 program of the government. Its aim is twofold. On the one hand to reduce the domestic greenhouse gas emissions and on the other hand to define strategic targets for the adaptation to the changing climate. Our aim is that  the aspects of environmental protection and sustainable development will be adequately represented in the final version of the Strategy.

The Strategy was adopted by the Hungarian Parliament in March 2008 - the review  of the strategy and the drafting of the national climate change action plans is ongoing. Our colleges contribute to these activities and supervise the outcomings. We participate in the creation of the two-year National Climate Change Programmes as members of the expert group of the strategy..
