Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan for Salgótarján County Seat
The Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) of Salgótarján city was prepared with the help and professional support of Energiaklub in cooperation with T-Systems Hungary.
Salgótarján is committed to support the implementation of the 40% greenhouse gas-reduction target by 2030 and to the increasement of the ability to adapt to the impacts of climate change. To this end the City has joined the Covenant of Mayors in 2017. Energiaklub has prepared the SECAP (Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan) of the city in cooperation with T-Systems Hungary.
The purpose of the Action Plan is to help the decision-makers work and support the sustainable energy investments of the city, which will allow a 40% reduction in emissions by 2030. To achieve this goal it includes concrete measures for improving energy efficiency, utilizing renewable energy sources and adapting to climate change.
During the planning period, the city's chief architect took part in a three-day training course on adaptation to climate change implemented with the contribution of Energiaklub.
