COACH BioEnergy

The Coach BioEnergy project aims at analysing the requirements of sustainable use of biomass (einvironmental, economic and social aspects), and to spread this knowledge via regional energy consultancy bureaus. Results will be presented to local and national decision makers in order to adopt the legal environment and support systems accordingly.

Target group:

local and national decision makers, farmers, biomass producers and users, consultancy bureaus

Description:

Description: During the 36 months project 19 involved partner organisations analyse the effects of biomass utilisation with the lyfe-cycle analysis method and disseminate the results in easy to understand language to local target groups. Information will be provided about biomass production, energy transformation, logistics and ecological and socio-economic aspetcs. An online-database will support the project. Results will be spread via newsletters, media work, information days, policy conferences and the website www.coach-bioenergy.eu. COACH BioEnergy is coordinated by the Fraunhofer MOEZ Centre, Leipzig, Germany.
