SusTrans - Cooperation for sustainable transport in the Visegrad region

A program designed to supply deficiencies was launched in autumn 2011 in order to provide guidelines for strategy formation in the transport sector. The governmental strategies in their present state are not capable of transposing the transport systems onto a sustainable basis. This two year long program supported by the International Visegrad Fund is being initiated by Energiaklub (HU) in cooperation with experts of the further three Visegrad countries, involving the University of Žilina (SK), Green Mazovia (PL) and Centre for Transport and Energy (CZ).

Transport learning

TRANSPORT LEARNING aims to create knowledge and capacity on sustainable transport policies and measures in municipalities and energy / management agencies of Europe’s convergence regions (BG, ES, EL, HU, IT, PL, PT and RO). It further aims to strengthen market activities on sustainable transport by integrating it in the business portfolio of energy / management agencies thus supporting the regions’ catching up economically. TRANSPORT LEARNING targets to reach a wide audience for creating a large-scale impact and in the long-run to safeguard ongoing training and education on sustainable transport.

Practical implementation of the Aarhus Convention in the nuclear field – round table discussions

The aim is to generate a discussion among parties, (such as NGOs, representatives of the industry, authorities, legal organisations, government offices, etc.) who have a role in the national nuclear energetics. The discussions will be about the experiences related to practical implementation of the Aarhus Convention on Public Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-making and Access to Justice in Environmental matters in Hungary.
