conventional energy sources
Almost 95% of Hungary's energy supply relies on conventional energy sources. We do not have these resources, and we are only able to obtain them through certain narrow channels. This situation not only leads to a one-sided political and economical import dependency, but decisively influences our security of supply, the country's competitiveness, the direct and indirect price paid for energy. Moreover, the proportion of fossil fuels contributes to climate change with the salient carbon dioxide emissions. Hence, it is in our basic interest to reduce the proportion of these energy resources. To this end we follow attentively processes connected to energy consumption or state investments and when necessary, we make recommendations for improvement, prepare related studies, hold lectures or inform the press.
